Pé quente

In Brazil we have a funny expression for a really lucky person: we say that he/she has a warm foot (pé quente — phonetically pronounced peh kentee). The opposite, when we want to say that someone has bad luck, we say, of course, that he/she has a cold foot! The cold foot is directly connected with the image of a dead body: is really cold and can not move anymore. On the other hand, warm foot is related with movement, it means that we always can move forward and take a next step in life.

We have a bunch of funny expressions in our countries, so stay tuned to learn the most weird expressions from Portugal, Brazil, France, Sweden and Germany!
